Après les Blue Feather c'est au tour de Young and Company d'être à l'honneur sur Groove Diggers. Former en 1979 par les frères... William Young, Michael Young et Kenneth Young et trois amis, Jackie Thomas, Buddy Hankerson et David Reyes. Cette formation funky connaitra un succès mitigé, un album sur Brunswick (1980) et six maxis plus tard, fini, adieux Young and Compagny !
En 1991. Le groupe est samplé dans un premier temps par Black Sheep sur l'excellent "Strobelite Honey". Dimitri from Paris enfoncera le clou en 1996 sur "Free ton style" trois ans plus tard se sera au tour de Central Coast Clique dans "Triple C Groove".
